Pacific / Leavenworth
Moderately priced homes which were built in the early to mid 1900’s are found in the Pacific-Leavenworth area. Some are in the vernacular style of working class homes from that period but many have up-dated kitchens and baths with porches that have been enclosed. Larger two story homes are also found in the community with price points in the low to mid $100,000’s reflecting size and amenities.
While some are rental properties serving employees and students of the nearby University of Nebraska Medical Center, the community is well-maintained with attractive landscaping. Retail and commercial sites are found along Leavenworth Street and newly developed Midtown Crossing with its shops, restaurants and active night life is a short drive away. The same is true for Ak-sar-ben Village, which is also an attractive social and retail center.
With close proximity to Omaha Public Schools, several parochial schools, churches of many denominations, Elmwood Park, and the amenities listed above, it is a popular place to live for urbanites of many ages and incomes.
